  梅奥医学中心帕金森病的分子机制研究博士后招聘

  Molecular mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease

Post-doctoral positions are open in Dr. Wolfdieter Springer’s laboratory at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida. The NIH-funded laboratory is focused on mitochondrial quality control and its role in neurodegenerative diseases. Our lab infrastructure includes super-resolution and high content imaging, digital pathology, culture and genome-editing of human neuronal cell models such as iPSCs, biochemical studies, drug development, and multi-omic analyses.

Active projects in the lab include: mechanisms of PINK1-PRKN-dependent mitophagy, phosphorylated ubiquitin as a biomarker for mitophagy in human brain and fluid samples, disease signature of mitochondrial quality control failure, genome-engineered models for activated mitophagy, drug discovery for mitophagy activators, and genome-wide analysis of mitophagy modulators.

Successful candidates must have a PhD degree along with a strong background in cell biology, protein and lipid biochemistry, neuroscience or relevant field, must be highly motivated, and able to work collaboratively. Fluent English, a track record of strong publications, and a cooperative attitude are a must for this position. Successful applicants will benefit from an outstanding research and training environment at Mayo Clinic with a competitive salary and benefit package, commensurate with experience. Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae, a statement of research experience/interests, and contact information for 2-3 references:
