摘要:

Postdoctoral Positions in Human T cell Immunology

The Feeney Laboratory at UCSF is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral research fellows to investigate the immune response to infectious pathogens in the fetus and infant, includingmalaria, CMV, and HIV. The successful candidate(s) will have a range of opportunities to pursue patient-oriented human immunology research based on established international collaborations, leveraging large, established sample banks of human specimens (PBMC, cord blood, placental tissue, and plasma). Envisioned projects will make use functional assays as well as newer high-parameter approaches such as mass cytometry, scRNA, and computational biology.

The mission of the Division of Experimental Medicine is to understand the human immune system so that lifesaving therapies and vaccines can be developed to protect against chronic infectious diseases of global importance, and to establish a training environment that fosters patient-oriented research in the U.S. and abroad.

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. and have a strong background in immunology or infectious disease research. Experience with flow cytometry, RNAseq, and/or bioinformatics is desirable. Excellent communication, writing, and collaboration skills are essential.

Interested candidates should email a cover letter, CV, and 3 references to Dr. Maggie Feeney, Professor and Chief, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Global Health, UCSF (feeneylabucsf@gmail.com).
