Postdoctoral Scientist Pharmacology (m/f)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Improve PCOS disease understanding, target identification & validation in the disease area as well as in vitro and in vivo model development
· Participate in early interdisciplinary research teams
· Get an understanding of early drug discovery processes
· Closely interact with internal (i.e. Bayer) and external experts (e.g. academic community, other companies)
· Present results in internal research & management teams and at scientific meetings
· Publish scientific results and interact closely with the scientific community

WHO YOU ARE
· PhD (m/f) in pharmacology, biology, biochemistry or MD oder Vet or equivalent
· Work on PhD thesis in final phase or finished within the last 6 month
· Strong background in rodent in vitro as well as in vivo techniques
· Background in pathophysiology of PCOS and/or metabolic diseases is highly desired
· Experience in immunology is an advantage
· Experience in guiding and supervising technicians or master students
· Publication of PhD results in high impact journals
· Excellent organizational skills as well as creative and flexible thinking
· Enjoy working in a team as well as independently
· Sense of responsibility and ability to adapt to a dynamic research environment
· Proficient verbal/written communication and presentation skills
· Fluent command of English, a basic knowledge of German is helpful but not required

FURTHER INFORMATION
This is a fixed-term contract for two years with the option of being extended for a further year.
