Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the laboratories of Drs. Yanfen Hu and Rong Li in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas. We are part of an interdisciplinary translational research program that covers cancer biology, tumor microenvironment, and animal models of human diseases.
Exciting postdoctoral research projects are available in the following areas:
• Investigate the mechanism of breast tumor suppressor BRCA1 in DNA repair, and transcriptional regulation, and therapeutic resistance (Cell Cycle 14:437; Nature Communications 7:10913; Nature Communications 8:15908).
• Interrogate estrogen receptor signaling in tumor progression and antitumor immunity (Journal of Clinical Investigation 124:3378; Oncotarget 7:42585; Cancer Research 76:6964).
• Elucidate transcriptional regulation of energy metabolism in cardiac and adipose tissues (Nature Communications 4:1821; Cell Reports 7:79).
•CRISPR-mediated genetic editing in mouse models.

The applicant must have a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences. Working experience in standard molecular/cellular biology is desirable. Working experience with mouse genetics is
