Open Postdoctoral / Scientist Position in Cancer Immunology/Immunotherapy at the Department Biomedicine, University Hospital Basel

We invite applications from PhD – MD/PhD scientists to join our laboratory. Candidate requirements include Ph.D or M.D./Ph.D. (already obtained or soon to be), a high degree of motivation in academic research, outstanding record of scientific accomplishments with publications in peer-reviewed journals, and ability to work independently and as a team player with excellent communication and writing skills. Experience in cellular immunology, preferentially human tumor immunology including multidimensional flow cytometry is desirable, knowledge in bioinformatics and high-throughput data analysis is advantageous.

Projects include the characterization of the innate and adaptive immunity in human tumors, the analysis of mechanisms of tumor-associated immune cell dysfunction including immmuno-modulatory receptors, and the development of strategies to reinvigorate immune cell function.

Due to our tight connection between research and clinical activities our lab provides a very active scientific environment in translational cancer immunology / immunotherapy with numerous academic research projects and industrial collaborations. The position is full time for 2 years with possibility to prolongation and it is available immediately.
