丹麦博后职位食物与营养

Aarhus University, Science and Technology, Department of Food Science, Research Centre Aarslev, offers a 2-year position at the post doctoral level within the area of metabolomics in food and nutrition research, starting 1 August 2017.

Area of work
The candidate will take part in cross-disciplinary research projects focusing on the development and application of metabolomics analyses on bio-fluids and foods. Studies on bio-fluids have emphasis on nutrition aspects and involve analyses of bio-fluids from dietary intervention studies. The candidate will be responsible for both conducting NMR- and LC-MS based metabolomics. The position includes responsibility for analytical method development, data handling and processing, multivariate data analysis, data interpretation, publication of scientific papers and supervision of students.

The Post doc position is part of the Research Group ‘Differentiated and Biofunctional foods’ at the Department of Food Science.

Qualifications

  • Relevant education from a University or other academic institution.
  • A PhD degree (or equivalent experience) in food science or related areas.
  • Experience on NMR and LCMS based metabolomics
  • Experience on handling of metabolomics data and multivariate data analysis
  • Documentation of good skills in communication of research results internationally as evidenced by a high rate of publication
  • Experience in supervising students and teaching at a high academic level will also be a merit.

There is funding for 2 years of employment. In case further external funding is procured within the academic area the candidate is estimated obviously qualified for, an extension can be possible for up to a total maximum of 4 years employment as a post doc.

Application procedure Short-listing is used. This means that after the deadline for applications – and with the assistance from the assessment committee chairman, and the appointment committee if necessary, – the head of department selects the candidates to be evaluated. All applicants will be notified whether or not their applications have been sent to an expert assessment committee for evaluation. The selected applicants will be informed about the composition of the committee, and each applicant is given the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that concerns him/her self. Once the recruitment process is completed a final letter of rejection is sent to the deselected applicants, including the main considerations emphasized during the selection process.

Formalities and salary range Science and Technology refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
