Projects include studying the crosstalk between cell-cell adhesion, miRNA processing, and mRNA translation in normal epithelial cells, identifying deregulated signaling pathways upon PLEKHA7 dysfunction in cancer, as well as assessing the efficacy of miRNA therapeutics (see Nature Cell Biology, 17(9): 1145-1157, 2015). Experience in molecular biology or cell biology preferred. Projects will likely relate to RNAi biology, mRNA translation, in situ hybridization, animal models of carcinogenesis, proteomics; experience in any of these would be a plus. |
