Available immediately-Postdoctoral Fellow Enzyme Protein Chemistry and Biochemistry

A postdoctoral position is immediately available for biochemical and functional characterization of oncogenic enzymes involved in cell signaling pathways.

A Ph. D. degree in enzyme/protein chemistry, biochemistry or related area, a strong background in protein/enzyme isolation/characterization, enzyme inhibition assays, and extensive experience with FPLC are required. Candidates have experience with insect cell expression system or mammalian cell culture would be an advantage, but is not required.

Required Qualification Summary

A Ph. D. degree in enzyme/protein chemistry, biochemistry or related area, a strong background in protein/enzyme
isolation/characterization, enzyme inhibition assays, and extensive experience with FPLC are required.

The finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualification Summary

Candidates have experience with insect cell expression system or mammalian cell culture would be an advantage, but is not required.

Physical Demands

No or very limited physical effort required.

Essential Duties

The Postdoctoral Fellow will support research whose long term goal is to enhance our biochemical understanding of the origin of cancer and to provide a better molecular basis for drug development.
