Cellular/Molecular Neuropharmacologist - Assistant or Associate Professor Level : New York, NY, United States

The Department of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City is seeking a tenure track neuropharmacologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (commensurate with research accomplishments) to join a collaborative multidisciplinary research division with strengths in structural biology, ion channel biophysics, and neuronal electrophysiology and signaling.

Experience and expertise in ion channel structure-function, electrophysiology and/or neuronal physiology and pharmacology is desirable but not essential. Postdoctoral training with significant peer-reviewed publications and existing or potential external funding is essential. Responsibilities include leading a dynamic and collaborative research program. Preferred areas of research relevant to anesthesiology include pain mechanisms and novel therapeutics, anesthetic mechanisms, and related areas of neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, molecular biophysics and biochemistry.
