Postdoctoral positions in the neural basis of behavioral control

Postdoctoral positions are available immediately to explore the synaptic and circuit mechanisms of executive function in mouse genetic models of neuropsychiatric disorders. Projects will involve operant paradigms interrogating a range of decision-making behaviors in mice; electrophysiological analysis of synaptic transmission and circuit function and transcriptional profiling of genetically defined circuit components. Successful candidates will be creative, highly motivated individuals from any STEM field with a strong background in quantitative behavioral analysis, acute slice electrophysiology or large-scale transcriptional profiling. Highly desirable skills include optogenetic circuit manipulation or in vivo electrophysiological recording, as well as standard molecular and viral neurobiology techniques. PhD, MD or MD/PhD required.
