A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Karen Ryan, in the Department of Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior at the University of California- Davis.  Research in the Ryan Laboratory focuses on neuroendocrine mechanisms by which environmental signals influence systemic metabolism, towards the goal of identifying new targets for therapeutic intervention in stress-related and metabolic disease. 

Applicants should have a PhD and/or MD in Physiology, Neuroscience, or other relevant field.  The successful candidate should have experience with handling and phenotyping of small mammals, and will be highly motivated, as evidenced by a record of scientific productivity.
