The Head and Neck Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology Laboratory within the Yale School of Medicine announces an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position.  The successful candidate will have a recently obtained Ph.D. in biological sciences and substantial experience in the areas of cancer and stem cell research.  Studies will be focused on uncovering novel pathways and mechanisms that support stem cell properties in breast and salivary gland cancers.  Based on this approach, new targeted therapies will be developed and tested on human tumors implanted in nude nice.   Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas is required: cancer biology, stem cell biology, xenograft modeling of human tumors, and pre-clinical studies on mouse models.  English proficiency with excellent presentation and communication skills are important.  The position is for at least 2 years.  Qualified candidate should submit his/her CV and three names of references that can provide letters of recommendation to the following address: sergey.ivanov@yale.edu
