Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies (TPIMS) is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the laboratory of Dmitriy Minond, Ph.D., Assistant Member.

Research Description: Our program includes discovery of small molecule leads with subsequent utilization of these molecules in cell based and in vivo studies. We are currently interested in identifying mechanism of action of novel class of compounds in melanoma cells. Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies (TPIMS) provides a unique environment for multi-disciplinary collaborations, with the appropriate facilities to well support the research program outlined above.

Postdoctoral Research Fellows are trained and mentored directly by the Principal Investigator. TPIMS offers a competitive benefits package, as well as the outstanding benefits of life on the Treasure Coast of Florida.

Candidates should have a PhD in cancer (preferably focused on melanoma) or cancer cell biology and published expertise in target identification and validation (small molecule mechanism of action, pathway analysis, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques). Additionally, the candidate should possess good oral and written communication skills and be proficient with basic computer programs (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
