Job Description

Micro-LAM Technologies LLC, a high potential and innovative startup, is seeking a full-time scientist/postdoc fellow to join our technical team to accelerate the development and commercialization of the Micro-LAM system. Micro-LAM is looking for a hard-working, knowledgeable, goal-oriented and creative individual to participate in R&D, designing, fabricating and testing key components that will be part of a fully commercial Micro-LAM system.

Responsibilities:
- Extensive involvement in beta testing in various industrial settings
- Troubleshooting flaws and inefficiency in current design/process
- Redesigning and fabricating specific components of the system based on beta testing results
- Identify current limitations in precision machining setup and provide solutions
- Primarily machining hard and brittle materials such as ceramics, semiconductors and glass

We welcome candidates with these qualities
- Education area: Manufacturing/Mechanical, Materials, Physics, Optics or relevant field
- Demonstrable proficiency in CAD/CAM systems
- Preferably experienced in programming and operating CNC machine tools
- Experience with diamond turning preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Basic knowledge in cutting tool design, optics and lasers
- Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines
- Basic experienced in precision machining
- A good understanding of a startup environment
