King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok, Thailand offers a ONE YEAR Postdoctoral position for one wishing to prepare for research or a career in the exciting industries/academic which have plasmonics and nanomaterials as a key technology.

The researches cover nanophotonics, optical materials properties at the nanoscale, computation as well as basic photonics. Also a significant programme of research is undertaken, leading to a deep, practical or theoretical understanding of plasmonics and nanomaterials; ideal preparation for a career in industrial and academic sectors. The equipment in laboratory we have is UV-VIS-NIR spectrometer, Raman spectrometer, FTIR spectrometer and Fluorescence spectrometer.

Candidates should be highly motivated, dynamic and with self-initiative as you are invited to provide a project description of your own. As a post-doctoral researcher, you would design and carry out the necessary experiments. It is expected that the work would be published in one peer-reviewed journal and one conference proceeding.

Applicants should preferably
-hold a PhD degree no more than 3 years in applied physics (computational or experimental) or other related field of study .
-have no more than 40 years old.
-have good spoken and written English.

The salary is about 1,000 USD per month including a round-trip air fare.
