The Channing Division of Network Medicine (CDNM) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School is seeking candidates for a post-doctoral position to perform multi-disciplinary research elucidating the gene regulatory networks responsible for the development of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and emphysema. Leveraging multidimensional genomic and clinical data from the COPDGene Study, this project involves integrating whole genome DNA sequence and RNA-Seq data with novel computed tomographic patterns of emphysematous lung destruction. Starting with GWAS and eQTL analysis to identify disease-associated regulatory functional variants, the project also entails characterization of gene regulatory networks associated with the development of emphysema.
