We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join an FP7 European consortium working. The Postdoc will work in the FP7 project "ISS-EWATUS" in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London.

The scope of the ISS-EWATUS project is to produce a holistic approach in the water management and saving by:
* installing physical devices at households to monitor the usage of water;
* recording the usage of water in real time, and storing such data for later usage;
* developing a decision support system (DSS) to (1) profile the usage of water in households and (2) to plan a water demand reduction intervention
* designing a DSS for water companies to detect leaks, to assess and manage seasonal or irregular water demands;
* creating a social media platform to promote and induce behavioural change in the water usage by individuals, families and households, and
* developing and simulating a set of adaptive water price systems to support the decision of policy makers.

The post-holder will conduct a comprehensive study on the dynamical analysis of social networks. Possibility for dynamic analysis of various kinds of social networks (especially clustering, classification, consensus and synchronization) will be explored by integrative and synthetic methodology under some practical constraints. We shall verify some models to characterise the dynamical behaviour of coupled systems. The suggested models will be applied to the water-pipe networks in order to save costs.

You must have a relevant PhD or equivalent research experience in an academic or industry setting. You will also be someone with knowledge and experience in social media platforms, Object-Oriented programming and data analysis. You will have a publishing record and experience of delivering presentations, as well as writing research proposals.
