Further information

We are seeking a postdoctoral scholar trained as a cellular-molecular biologist to join a newly-formed interdisciplinary research team focused on advancing in vivo imaging. We have initiated a new research program to develop and characterize novel reporters for in vivo cell tracking using multi-modal imaging techniques, particularly magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These reporters will be applied to models of stem cell repair, immunology and cancer. This research is being conducted at the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine, which houses a new, state-of-the-art facility for small animal multi-modal imaging, as well as extensive cellular-molecular wet-lab resources. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. with extensive training and experience in molecular and cellular biology. Specifically, candidates should have a background in a broad range of recombinant DNA techniques, vector technologies, gene expression detection methods, and experience with manipulating primary mammalian cell cultures and cell lines under sterile conditions. Moreover, the candidate should have strong scientific problem solving skills, ability to analyze and interpret experimental data, ability to communicate results in a concise manner both verbally and in writing, and have a solid track record of scientific achievement as documented by peer-reviewed scientific journal publications.
