Postdoctoral Researcher "In-situ Spectroscopic Ellipsometry of Nanodiamond Growth" : Cardiff, United Kingdom

Applications are invited for an EPSRC-funded postdoctoral research position for a period of two years at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Cardiff University. This project will involve the nucleation and growth of superconducting and intrinsic nanodiamond thin films using the state of the art Chemical Vapour Deposition facilities at Cardiff Diamond Foundry. Spectroscopic Ellipsometry will be used to monitor the growth in-situ and ex-situ for more detailed post growth investigations. A candidate with significant experience in Spectroscopic Ellipsometry is preferred, but expertise in Atomic Force microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, UV Photoattachment chemistry, CVD/MBE growth or other thin film techniques is also desirable.

Salary: £30,728 – £36,661 per annum, dependent on experience (Grade 6).
