　　Job Description

　　Summary

　　The Britton lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. Duties will include engineering gut microbes to sense and respond to various stimuli using state of the art synthetic biology and genome engineering tools. Deployment of biosensors in in vitro and in vivo gut models will also be done.

　　Job Purpose

　　Postdoctoral Associates are trainees working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a career as a scientific professional

　　Job Responsibilties

　　Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.

　　Evaluates and analyzes data.

　　May establish new research protocols and procedures.

　　Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals.

　　May be responsible for laboratory operations.

　　May supervise research staff.

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　Education: Ph.D in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.

　　Experience: None required.

　　Experience: Previous experience in synthetic biology engineering preferred
