法国国家科学研究中心 (CNRS) 光学,光谱学,激光研究博士后职位

H/F Researcher in Optics, Spectroscopy, Lasers

Description

The post-doctoral fellow will contribute in particular to different aspects: - Study of the different rare earth doped materials relevant to the project - Definition and optimization of cavities (crystal lasers, fiber lasers), geometric properties of the gain medium studied (solid materials, fiber geometries, etc.), in order to obtain operation in mode-locked mode. - Optimization of laser performance to achieve the specifications defined in the project. - Participation in the management and monitoring of the project and organization of the different phases over time. Exchanges with partners - Writing of progress reports - Writing of publication on the results

The post-doctoral fellow will be part of the Optics, Materials and Lasers (OML) team of the CIMAP laboratory and will be in charge of the spectroscopic study and laser tests to develop laser sources in the infrared domain based on rare earth doped materials. These sources will be developed to operate in continuous and in pulsed regimes (Q-Switch, Mode-locking). Its mission will be part of a chair of excellence project (RELANCE).

The work will be carried out in the OML team of the CIMAP Laboratory, located in Caen, Normandy.

The OML team is an internationally recognized leader in the manufacturing and characterization of rare earth doped materials for laser and sensor systems applications. The group brings original approaches and new ideas to develop efficient laser systems and photonic devices.

The researcher will benefit from the environment adapted to the pursuit of his research (equipment, consumables, modeling tools, etc.)

Eligibility criteria

The candidate will have training (recent thesis) in physics. Expertise in optics and more particularly in the field of lasers is essential. A good knowledge of pulsed laser regimes (Q-Switch, Mode-locking) will be appreciated. Experimental and theoretical skills on guided optics and optical fibers will also be better.
