Postdoc in musculoskeletal pain in children

At the Faculty of Medicine, 20% Post-doctoral fellowship at Department of Health Science and Technology at Aalborg University, Denmark and Center for General at Aalborg University December 15, 2020 or soon hereafter. The position is available until December 14, 2022.

Job description

What we offer: We offer a time-limited 20% post-doctoral position for one year as part of a externally funded research project called "Investigating pathology and tissue biomarkers of Osgood Schlatter to enhance treatment of children with growth- related pain" which is funded by the IRFD. The successful candidate will oversee studies related to understanding the pathophysiology of Osgood Schlatter. Your development: You will be exposed to an inter-disciplinary group, where all group members are expected to help other grow and contribute to the team. You will be expected to participate in other students and researchers` projects, which may include opportunities such as mentoring and to learn new skills while doing so (from bachelor to PhD students). You will be mentored by a senior researcher, who will provide career development meetings with you to ensure your development during your post.doc and afterwards.

What we request: We expect to hire a team player that will help to develop the research group “Musculoskeletal Health and Implementation”. The candidate for a post-doctoral fellowship will hold a PhD within the area of medicine, health science or equivalent. It is expected that the candidate has a track record of high- quality publications within adolescent pain and health. It is desirable that the candidate has experience with clinical research. A high proficiency in oral and written English is required. Good dissemination skills are important.

Qualification requirements:

Appointment as Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD–level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. Appointment as a Postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at Aalborg University.

  Dissemination qualifications, including participation on committees or boards, participation in organisations and the like.

Employment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities (the Appointment Order) and the Ministry of Finance's current Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities.
