Job Description:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct with excellence a research plan to satisfy the objectives of a federally funded project, write extraordinary research papers that target top tier journals of power or control systems, contribute to proposal composition to attract federal or state research funds, and participate in student mentor-ship activities as needed.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in electrical and computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, or affine at the time of the beginning of the appointment

Preferred Qualifications:

expertise in four or more of the following areas: logic of argumentation, power systems or power converters, optimization, machine learning or numerical methods, control of hybrid systems, and python/MATLAB coding. Good understanding of physical principles, numerical solution to ordinary and partial differential equations, as well as deep reinforcement learning is a plus.
