  美国加州大学洛杉矶分校招收博士后

The laboratory of Dr. Julie Sneddon (https://sneddonlab.ucsf.edu/), part of the Edythe and Eli Broad Center for Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research, the Diabetes Center, and the Department of Cell & Tissue Biology at UCSF, is seeking highly motivated applicants for a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology.

The primary focus of our laboratory is on pancreatic development and type I diabetes, and we employ the tools of stem cell biology, developmental biology, genomics, and tissue engineering.  We are recruiting postdoctoral candidates who are passionate about participating in one or more of the following projects:

  1.    Investigating lineage determination in mouse and human pancreatic endocrine cell development using single-cell analyses, genetic lineage tracing, and human embryonic stem cell-based platforms

  2.    Improving therapeutic strategies for beta cell replacement for curing patients with type 1 diabetes using CRISPR-based genome editing, tissue engineering, and transplantation techniques

The position is at the Parnassus Heights campus of UCSF, in the center of San Francisco, and offers an opportunity to be part of a world-class research community in a highly collaborative environment.

Candidates must have strong organizational and communication skills, be highly self-motivated, and possess a Ph.D. in developmental or stem cell biology (or a related field) by the time they begin the position. Experience with human embryonic stem cell culture, mouse genetics, imaging, genomics techniques, or bioinformatics is a plus.

Interested applicants should send a cover letter describing their research experience and career goals, along with their CV and the names and email addresses of at least three professional references, to julie.sneddon@ucsf.edu.

Please include the words Postdoc Application in the subject line.
