  法国科学研究中心细胞生物学博士后职位

  Job Description

  Organisation/Company: CNRS

Research Field: Biological sciences › Biology

  Researcher Profile: Recognised Researcher (R2)

  Application Deadline: 16/03/2020 23:59 - Europe/Brussels

Location: France › GIF SUR YVETTE

  Type Of Contract: Temporary

  Job Status: Full-time

  Hours Per Week: 35

  Offer Starting Date: 01/04/2020

  - Autonomous conduct of a research project,

  - Design and realization of microscopy (confocal and electronic microscopy) and biochemical techniques, including in situ (subcellular fractionation) and in vitro (protein purification, reconstitution of proteo-liposomes in vitro) experiments required for the project.

  - Presentation of the results at group meetings and conferences

  - Writing scientific articles resulting from the scientific activity and supervision of undergraduate students.

Characterization of new protein components of endoplasmic reticulum- mitochondria membrane contact sites involved in lipid trafficking, in physiological and pathological conditions (i.e. Alzheimer's disease cellular models).

The post-doctorate will be held in the new team "Lipid Trafficking and Membrane Contact Sites" (https://www.i2bc.paris-saclay.fr/spip.php?article1271) at the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (UMR 9198 I2BC, CNRS / CEA / University Paris-Sud).

The I2BC is a new research institute of Paris-Saclay University, on the CNRS campus in Gif-sur-Yvette. The I2BC hosts 69 research teams representing a total of 750 people. Research at I2BC covers a wide range of topics in genome biology, cell biology, microbiology, virology, biochemistry and structural biology.

The team is attached to the Department of Celullary Biology and studies the mechanisms of communication and exchange between various cell organelles through the non-vesicular pathway that takes place at membrane contact sites. In particular, we are interested in understanding the molecular basis of lipid and calcium exchanges, that are essential for cellular homeostasis and are affected in several disorders including neurodegenerative diseases.

  Eligibility criteria

The candidate should hold a PhD degree, or equivalent research experience, in cell biology and/or biochemistry. He/she should have experience in mammalian cell culture and in multiple imaging approaches including confocal microscopy. Additional expertise in electron microscopy will be beneficial, but he/she can be trained. Experience in membrane reconstitution approaches in vitro (liposome preparation by extrusion, protein purification and reconstitution in vitro,..) is also welcomed. The candidate must be independent, well-organized, with excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work in a team. He/she should have the capacity to supervise undergraduate students. He/she should manage his/her own research and administrative activities, coordinate different aspects of the work to meet deadlines. He/she should carry out literature reviews and compile the results for publication in peer-reviewed journals, present papers and posters. He/she should carry out collaborative projects with colleagues in partner institutions, and actively participate in journal club and lab meetings.

  Additional comments

Interested applicants should send the application including a cover letter, curriculum vitae and contact information of three referees
