德国柏林感染生物学研究院博士后职位

Max-Planck-Institut für Infektionsbiologie Berlin

Postdoc position on the biology of Neutrophils (m/f/d)

- full time -

A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Arturo Zychlinsky at the  Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology.

The project is to elucidate the mechanism of Neutrophil Extracellular Trap  (NET) formation. NETs are extruded from neutrophils upon activation with  different stimuli and are composed of chromatin and other neutrophil proteins.  NETs are relevant in immunity. We understand the molecular pathway of NET  formation only partially. The project spanning Cell and Molecular Biology as  well as Immunology techniques will aim to unravel unique steps in the molecular  pathway and validate their biological significance in animal models and patient  samples.

The position and benefits are according to the German Agreement for the  Public Sector (TVöD Bund). The payment level is based on the German state public  service salary scale (up to E14, TVöD-Bund) according to the training,  qualifications and professional experience. The post is initially funded for 24  months and can be extended. The postdoctoral position is open to candidates who  have or are soon to obtain a doctoral degree in biomedical sciences, with a  proven ability to creatively investigate complex questions.

The Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology is located in the centre of  Berlin and has state of the art facilities. We are a diverse and international  team and the working language is English.

As an equal opportunity employer, the Max Planck Society is committed to  employing more individuals with disabilities. We, therefore, encourage  individuals with disabilities to apply.
