  荷兰格列宁根医学中心博士后职位

  Department

Groningen Research Institute of Asthma and COPD (GRIAC)

  Working environment

The Human Cell Atlas (HCA) project is an international consortium aiming to identify all cell types and their molecular phenotypes in the human body through a combination of high-throughput single-cell genomic profiling and spatial mapping using multiplexed FISH or spatial transcriptomics. The Human Lung Cell Atlas is one of the flagship programs of the HCA and will serve as a critical reference for understanding the changes in cellular composition and states, and the cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions underlying chronic lung disease. Asthma is such a chronic respiratory disease with increasing prevalence. We have recently shown that single-cell RNA sequencing can elucidate the cellular and molecular mechanisms operating in asthma. Within the HCA-Lung we perform single cell RNA sequencing and multiplexed FISH analyses on bronchial biopsies obtained from both patients with asthma and healthy controls. We will isolate bronchial epithelial cells for further functional analysis in ex vivo 3D organoid cultures of primary bronchial epithelial cells.

  Job description

Within the HCA-Lung activities, we have an opening for a PostDoc on the recently awarded discovAIR H2020 project, focused on the generation and analysis of single-cell RNA seq data of airway wall tissue, integration of these datasets with other levels of omics data (ATAC-Seq, CHIP-Seq, SNP genotypes) and charting cell-state transitions in real-time using an asthma-centric perturbation atlas of primary epithelial cells using in vitro 3D lung organoid culture models.

The project will be embedded within the Groningen Research Institute of Asthma and COPD (GRIAC), one of the 3 world’s leading translational research institutes in chronic respiratory disease. The project is embedded within the discovAIR H2020 project, coordinated by GRIAC scientists and part of the Human Cell Atlas consortium.
