　　Job description:

　　The Post-doctoral Fellow, specialized in stem cell biology, will be engaged in basic and translational research projects focused on the study of thyroid cell development from human embryonic stem cells. The Davies Lab is NIH funded and is well established in the field of thyroid cell development. The Post-doctoral fellow will be using molecular approaches to unravel cellular pathways contributing to thyroid cell speciation.

　　Job Qualifications

　　Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in cell biology with an emphasis on stem cell experience. He/she should have the ability to work independently and in collaboration with others; ability to clearly communicate methods and results to colleagues with varying expertise to achieve common research goals; strong written and oral communication skills. The Post-doctoral fellow should be keen to learn, be highly motivated, work well with others and immerse himself/herself in the ongoing research of the laboratory. In addition, the potential candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and be eager to present research results at national meetings.
