　　Job Description

　　Responsibilities

　　The candidate will be involved in a National Institutes of Health funded research program in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences under the supervision of Professor Mansoor Amiji. The candidate will carry out laboratory experiments in the development of therapeutic delivery systems for treatment of chronic diseases, including inflammatory diseases and neurodegenerative diseases. She/he will also be involved in supervision of research activities of other lab members and participate in writing scientific publications and grant applications.

　　Qualifications

　　The candidate should have a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline with at least 2-3 years of bench experience in development of drug delivery systems, including experience with in vivo experimentation using naïve and disease-specific animal models. Specific experience in the development of long-acting drug delivery systems, CNS diseases, and surgical strategies for drug administration will be considered as strengths.
