　　Postdoctoral position in genetic analysis of protein hunger

　　Postdoctoral research positions are available to study the molecular and cellular basis of protein specific feeding. We are a newly established lab with many exciting opportunities. We apply multidisciplinary approaches in the fruit fly Drosophila to study the genes and circuitry underlying motivated behaviors, with a particular focus on protein feeding, an evolutionary conserved but understudied behavior that play a potent role in driving overeating and obesity. To carry out these studies, we combine molecular and genetic approaches with high throughput behavioral analyses, immunohistochemical techniques, and functional imaging analysis. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. and be energetic and highly motivated. Preference will be given to candidates skilled in electrophysiology, in vivo imaging, biochemical techniques, or computational analysis.
