University of Arizona
The Department of Neuroscience has an opening for a qualified and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will join Dr. Martha Bhattacharya’s laboratory which is focused on the molecular and cellular study of nerve damage responses in both mice and Drosophila (fruit flies). The long-term goal of our research is to identify ways to delay or prevent the degeneration of axons in neurodegenerative diseases, thus preserving nerve function. Candidates who are eligible to compete for postdoctoral funding, such as the NIH Ruth L Kirschstein Institutional National Service Awards (NRSA), are strongly preferred.
Outstanding UA benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; UA/ASU/NAU tuition reduction for the employee and qualified family members; access to UA recreation and cultural activities; and more!
The University of Arizona has been listed by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers in the United States and WorldatWork and the Arizona Department of Health Services have recognized us for our innovative work-life programs.
