　　An exciting opportunity is available in the Institute for Energy Systems of the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh for postdoctoral appointment, ideally from August 2018 to March 2019.

　　The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary research team with world-leading expertise at the interface of power plant engineering, carbon capture and energy systems. They will also benefit from multiple contacts within the UK CCS Research Centre (www.ukccsrc.ac.uk) and the Scottish CCS Centre (www.sccs.org.uk). They will work on topical research issues in the area of carbon capture and storage, and, in particular:

　　· Advance the understanding of the future role of CCS in the energy systems, with a focus on the interaction between the electricity system and the CO2 transport and storage infrastructure.

　　You must have prior relevant experience of modelling carbon capture processes, thermal power generation systems and CO2 pipelines.

　　The post is expected to start in August 2018. Candidates invited for interview will be informed no later than two working weeks after the close of applications.
