The Physic division is seeking a Postdoc with experimental nuclear physics background. Requires ability to play a lead role in the upcoming threshold J/psi experiments in Hall C and SoLID (Jefferson Lab), study future opportunities with heavy quarkonium at an electron ion collider (EIC), and provide support with the group’s research efforts as part of the CLAS12 collaboration (Jefferson Lab). Will be involved in the R&D effort towards the SoLID light-gas Cherenkov counter.

Position Requirements

Requires demonstrated research credentials inexperimental nuclear physics, a solid background in deep-inelastic scattering (DIS), in particular hard-exclusive processes such as DVMP, as well as SIDIS.

Requires familiarity with modern photo-multiplier tubes, Cherenkov detectors and wavelength shifting technology.
