A postdoctoral position is available in NREL’s Chemistry and Nanoscience Center. The focus of this role is to pursue research in photoinduced electron transfer processes in organic, molecular systems. This position will focus on using transient spectroscopies to investigate charge carrier generation in sensitized conjugated molecular and polymer films. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation and characterization of the thin-film samples, as well as investigating the photophysical properties using a variety of transient spectroscopies. An acceptable candidate should understand laser-based spectroscopies that range from femtoseconds to nanoseconds in time resolution. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
