Postdoctoral Positions in Brain Cancer Biology

Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Baoli Hu in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). The Hu Lab is interested in the genetic and epigenetic events contributing to the evolution of childhood and adult brain tumors with a long-term goal to achieve a better understanding of these disease biology and to develop more effective diagnoses and therapeutic strategies for the treatment of brain cancer. The specific research topics in the Hu Lab include 1) modeling the evolution and diversity of brain tumors, 2) interrogating consequences of stem cells plasticity within brain tumor microenvironment, and 3) illuminating mechanisms governing cancer cells invasion and dissemination in brain. 

We are seeking the highly motivated and skilled candidates who have a solid background in cancer biology, biochemistry, epigenetics, genomics, and/or mouse modeling of cancer. The experience in brain tumor research, basic bioinformatics and/or epigenetics are preferred, but not necessary.
