The Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology at the University of Virginia is looking for a highly motivated post-doc candidate with a Ph.D. or M.D. degree by start date and with a strong background in biochemistry and/or molecular and cell biology. Experience in metabolism, immunology, and epigenetics is plus.
The successful candidate will join the dynamic group that strives to determine the roles of oncogenic drivers in small cell lung cancer development using innovative approaches integrating genetically engineered mouse models and precancerous cells with omics data and functional genetics tools. Specifically, the candidate will focus on potential roles of novel tumor suppressor genes in regulating tumor cell-to-cell and tumor cell-microenvironment interactions.
