You will work under the supervision of the I20 Principal Beamline Scientist and will be responsible for developing a research programme on the application of X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy in Dispersive mode to time-resolved chemistry challenges in one of the following areas: heterogeneous catalysis, electrochemistry or photochemistry.

The aim of the project is to develop optimised experimental methods and analytical approaches for the study of these types of reactions taking place in real time and under realistic conditions of operation. You will be expected to enhance the experimental capabilities of I20-EDE (energy dispersive exafs).
