Postdoctoral Fellow in Molecular Cell Biology at UNC Charlotte

A new Postdoctoral Fellow position is available immediately to study post-transcriptional gene regulation in human pathogens in Chakrabarti Lab at UNC Charlotte (https://clas-pages.uncc.edu/kchakrab/). We are looking for candidates who have experiences in molecular cell biology and genome editing /functional genomics techniques. Experience with cell culture, transfection and (CRISPR/Cas9) is required. Experimental approaches will include Gene cloning, CRISPR/Cas9 manipulations, Immunofluorescence and Confocal Microscopy.

Interested applicants must have a PhD in Molecular Biology/Cellular Biology or in a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with peer reviewed publication record and expertise in gene knockout studies and genome editing by CRISPR/Cas9. Applicants should be highly motivated, creative, and independent and be interested in a multi-disciplinary approach spanning genetics, molecular/cellular biology. This position is available for 2 years with a salary of ~$48K per year, commensurate with experience.
