Postdoctoral Position in Fungal Evolution and Population Biology

We are searching for a highly-motivated postdoctoral associate with strong molecular and computational biology research experience with fungi or other microorganisms to conduct research aimed at understanding the global population structure and evolutionary dynamics of Fusarium graminearum and related Fusarium head blight (FHB) pathogens.  Scientists in the Mycotoxin Prevention and Applied Microbiology (MPM) Research Unit at the USDA-ARS in Peoria have an outstanding record of discovery and publication regarding Fusarium biology, chemistry, and evolution.  Thus, opportunities exist for the postdoc to engage in these and other areas of interest.
