　　Applications are welcomed for a Research Associate role in the Immunotherapy Section of the Karadimitris Lab, to carry out research in the Centre for Haematology at Imperial College London. This is a two-year post with the prospect of a further one year extension, subject to funding. The post is funded by Imperial College Excellence Fund for Frontier Research award to develop cell-based immunotherapeutic approaches for HIV infection.

　　The project is led by Professor Tassos Karadimitris, in collaboration with HIV scientists and clinicians at Imperial College London.

　　You will join a group of 2-3 post-docs working on the development and validation of novel, including chimaeric, antigen receptor-based approaches for cancer and chronic viral infections.

　　You should hold a PhD, or equivalent, in immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or similar discipline. Experience and skills in cellular and molecular immunology and relevant techniques are essential, including in vitro and in vivo manipulation of human primary T cells, retro- and lenti-viral systems for cell transduction, multi-parameter flow-cytometry and sorting, in vitro and in vivo immunological assays. Prior experience in the field of HIV immunology would be advantageous. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to solve problems, and the ability to work both on your own initiative and as a member of a team.

　　This is a full-time, fixed-term post for two years.
