Postdoctoral scholar in the lab of Dr. Raymond DuBois. Dr. DuBois is internationally renowned for his work in cancer prevention and devoted to understanding how inflammation and inflammatory mediators contribute to colorectal carcinogenesis (Xia et al., Nature Medicine 2012, 18:224-6; Katoh et al., Cancer Cell 2013, 24:631-44; Wang et al., PNAS 2014, 111:7084-9; and Wang et al., Gastroenterology 2015, 149:1884-1895).  His laboratory is seeking a postdoc to work on research projects related to understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of colorectal cancer formation, progression, and metastasis.  The successful candidate will be self-motivated to work hard and will perform complex in vivo and in vitro experiments using colorectal cancer mouse models. They will also learn such current cellular, molecular and biochemical techniques as mouse surgery, organoid culture, Western blots, ELISA, qPCR, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, recombinant DNA cloning, subcloning, CRISPR-CAS9, and LUC reporter analyses, and will be encouraged to publish their data in respected scientific journals. Dr. Raymond DuBois is also Dean of the College of Medicine at MUSC. 

Requirements:
Candidates are required to have a doctorate degree. Experience and training in experimentation relating to cancer. Ability to independently plan and perform research projects with minimal supervision. Ability to evaluate experimental results and troubleshoot problems. Ability to maintain an up-to-date, organized and legible lab notebook that provides a detailed record of all experiments and tests performed.
