At our site in Munich, we have established a unique technology platform, which applies mass spectrometry-based proteomics to identify cellular drug targets, investigate the mode-of-action of small molecules and enable target and biomarker discovery.

Our team in Munich is looking for a highly motivated, creative and passionate:

Research Scientist Mass Spectrometry (f/m)
Full-time, 3 year contract

Your Key Responsibilities

• You will work on a research project in proteomics for an international client.
• You plan and conduct proteomics experiments to identify small molecule targets, mechanisms of drug action, and biomarker candidates. Furthermore you will have to oversee the information exchange and communication between internal project groups.
• Together with the bioinformatics team, you analyze and report your data in internal meetings and to the customer.
• You participate in interdisciplinary teams alongside colleagues and scientists from customers to actively contribute to integrated projects.
• Furthermore, you will have personnel responsibility for a technical assistant.

Your Qualifications

• You have a PhD degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or a related field.
• Ideally, you already worked as a postdoc for a minimum for 2 years with responsibility for PhD students and/or technical assistants.
• Your knowledge and experience in mass spectrometry and proteomics is on an expert level.
• Due to your PhD or postdoc work you are experienced in working in a multidisciplinary project, know to manage your timelines and communicate precisely your concerns and ideas.
• You are able to focus on the key tasks in a customer-oriented project rather than pursuing other ideas even though they appeal to you.
• Your commercial awareness sets you apart from other candidates.
• Your positive, communicative, and open personality helps you to understand other opinions, and contributes to a productive discussion.
• Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) top off your profile.
• Ideally you speak German as well, if not, you have a strong commitment to master the German language in a timely manner.
