Department of Developmental and Cell Biology, UC Irvine

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology, University of California Irvine, to study the molecular mechanism in organ size control and cancer development

Our lab is interested in the signaling network centered on the Hippo pathway in tissue homeostasis and organ size control as well as its dysregulations in tumorigenesis. On one hand, we investigate the cellular regulation and function of the Hippo pathway in growth control; on the other hand, we explore the therapeutic potential by targeting this key tumor suppressor pathway for cancer treatment. Research projects and the related reagents are both available to ensure a quick start in our lab. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent candidate with research expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biolgy and cancer biology. We prefer candidates who are about to graduate with PhD or MD/PhD degree, or have graduated within the last 12 months, with the clear career goal to become an independent Priciniple Investigator in future. A track record of excellent first author publication(s) is required.
