　　The Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons seeks a Postdoctoral Research Scientist whose position will focus on how damage-associated molecular patterns, such as ATP and adenosine, regulate type 2 immunity in the intestinal tract. This position is in the lab of George Hasko, MD, PhD. The primary specific responsibilities will be in immunology, performing immunological experiments in the laboratory, under the PI’s direction. The project centers around the role of purinergic signaling in regulating the type 2 immune response to intestinal helminth infection. The research being undertaken requires that a researcher be familiar with a number of techniques, which include flow cytometry, immune cell isolation, immunoblotting, and real-time PCR. Experience with manipulating transgenic mice is also required. Experience with animal models of type 2 immunity is welcome. The selectee will perform other related duties as assigned. 　　Qualified candidates must have a PhD and/or MD in immunology, molecular and cellular biology, or a related field and have a record of peer-reviewed publications. Experience with in vivo immunology, flow cytometry, molecular biology techniques, biochemical and cell signaling techniques is required.
