美国宾州神经科学Timothy Mosca博士实验室的博士后职位
Responsibilities

The Mosca Lab is hiring! We are a newly established, NIH-funded, lab seeking highly motivated, independent-thinking POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS to study the molecular basis of synapse organization. Our goal is to define the mechanisms of how synapses form and function by focusing on two major areas: 1) elucidating the events downstream of critical cell surface synapse organizers, and 2) understanding how development of and three-dimensional synapse organization in the mature brain shape behavior. Our work combines high resolution microscopy, Drosophila genetics, biochemistry, and behavioral analyses to understand the developmental, molecular, and circuit logics that underlie synaptic connectivity. The PI also places high value on creating a supportive environment for scientists to grow, learn, question, discover, and achieve their professional goals. The Department of Neuroscience at Thomas Jefferson University is a vibrant community of neuroscientists with strengths in studying synapse biology, neurodegenerative disease, and neurophysiology. You will join a quickly growing cadre of supportive, outstanding, and collaborative neuroscientists in an exciting research environment located in the heart of the city of Philadelphia. |

Qualifications

Optimal candidates will have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field, evidence of outstanding scholarship, and excellent communication skills. Candidates with biochemical and/or Drosophila research experience are particularly encouraged to apply. Salary will reflect recent NIH FY2017 guidelines and be commensurate with experience. Though the position is funded, candidates will be encouraged and mentored to apply for additional support. In addition to core lab projects, postdocs will have the opportunity to pursue studies that combine their interests with that of the PI. |
