摘要:

Postdoctoral Long Title:

A quantitative data-driven approach to explore the effects of endogenous antioxidant levels on renal outcomes in diabetic CKD and to generate evidence supporting a new class of antioxidative medicines.

We're currently looking for talented scientists to join our innovative academic -style Postdoc. From our centre in Gothenburg, Sweden, you'll be in a global pharmaceutical environment, contributing to live projects right from the start. You'll take part in a comprehensive training programme, including a focus on drug discovery and development, given access to our existing Postdoctoral research, and encouraged to pursue your own independent research in cutting edge laboratories. It's a newly expanding programme spanning a range of therapeutic areas across a wide range of disciplines.

What's more, you'll have the support of a leading academic advisor, who'll provide you with the guidance and knowledge you need to develop your career. This is an exciting area that hasn't been explored to its full potential, making this an opportunity to make a real difference to the future of medical science.

About AstraZeneca trong>

AstraZeneca is a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialisation of prescription medicines for some of the world's most serious diseases. But we're more than one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. At AstraZeneca, we're proud to have a unique workplace culture that inspires innovation and collaboration. Here, employees are empowered to express diverse perspectives – and are made to feel valued, energised and rewarded for their ideas and creativity.

Early Clinical Development (ECD) is where great science meets patient needs. We work across drug development from discovery to late phase development. It's our responsibility to take molecules into the clinic, identify the right patient and ensure they receive the right dose, of the right drug, with the right levels of safety, in an area of major unmet need. We drive innovation in clinical trial designs, harness data to inform decisions and accelerate human target validation.

This project offers the unique opportunity to apply your quantitative skills to explore a wealth of clinical data and generate support of a new class of medicines to treat chronic kidney disease and possibly other chronic conditions.

We are passionate about advancing and applying quantitative methods to deliver life-changing medicines, are you?

Your objective is to apply quantitative methods (non-linear mixed effects modelling and/or other appropriate machine learning) to explore the effects of endogenous antioxidants on clinical outcomes using clinical data from external, internal, and literature sources. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment with close collaboration with scientists from academia as well as th e preclinical and clinical drug discovery and development arena.

  • PhD in Pharmacometrics, Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
  •

Desirable:

  • Prior understanding of the drug-development process
  • Strong scientific background in medicine, preferably in clinical pharmacology
  • Strong publication track record
  • Committed to life-long learning and continuous self-improvement
