访问学者广州J1签证顺利通过

　　我预约的10月25号下午2点在广州签证，访问学者类型，J1签证。

　　我上午11点半时来到了领事馆，到达门口时被告知下午2点签证的要1点半才能进入。12:50再次来到领事馆时，发现门口已经排起很长的队了。赶紧跑过去，发现排很长队的是预约1:15的，是二签的。预约2点签证的队伍只有几个人。期间发现有些人的DS160确认页上没有写姓名、电话号码和住址。(一定要记得都补充完整了)等到1:10左右，两个保安摸样的人拿着名单核对身份信息，发小黑牌子。依次领号牌，排队进入大厅，上四楼，小安检。

　　上到五楼，继续排队。大安检(要脱鞋，解皮带)。然后排队提交材料(DS160确认页，护照，DS2019表，照片，中信收据)。

　　以下是我(ME)和签证官MM(VO)的对话。

　　ME: Good afternoon! (递过材料，微笑)

　　VO: Good afternoon! How are you today?(微笑的接过材料)

　　Me: Fine. Thank you! I am going to America as an exchange visiting scholar to University of Michigan Dearborn. There is a letter for you from my supervisor in UMD.

　　VO: Oh. (翻翻材料)What is your research about?

　　Me: My major is management science.

　　VO: Management science? (貌似她不懂)

　　Me: Yeah. My research interests are to use mathematical models, simulations, and optimizations to improve the operational efficiency in various business situations. (这是我一开始都准备好了的答案)

　　VO: OK. (似乎觉得有点意思)

　　沉默了几秒钟

　　VO: So you have got a ph.D degree?

　　Me: Yes. I got my ph.D degree in University of Science and Technology of China, in Hefei, middle China.

　　VO: When did you get your ph.D degree? (这句话我没听清)

　　Me: Sorry? (我把耳朵凑近玻璃，后来才意识到应该凑近喇叭) It is too loud here.

　　VO: When did you get your ph.D degree? (耐心的重复了一遍，看我好像还没听清，于是又重复了一遍，这个MM真好!) When did you get your ph.D degree?

　　Me: (恍然大悟)Oh, I got my ph.D degree from University of Science and Technology of China in December 2008.

　　VO: OK.

　　沉默了几秒钟

　　VO: What did you do since that?

　　Me: I have been working as a post-doctorate in University of Science and Technology of China since I got the ph.D degree. It is two years.

　　VO: Have you changed job?

　　Me: No.

　　VO: Have you been to America before?

　　Me: No. This is the first time I go outside of China if I can get the visa.(我笑笑，她也笑笑)

　　沉默了几秒钟

　　VO：Are you married?

　　Me: Yes. This is my certificate of marriage. (我指着手中的结婚证给她看，她笑笑)

　　VO: Does your wife go with you?

　　Me: No. She has a job in Hefei, and will continue her work in her company.

　　VO: OK.

　　Me: (我继续补充) However, if the future situation permits, I will try to get my wife to visit me in the next year for about one month.

　　VO: OK.(笑笑)

　　沉默了几秒钟

　　VO: Michigan is very cold. You have to ware ……(我没听清，反正猜得出是棉袄羽绒服之类的。她笑着说的。听到这句话我心里就有底了，呵呵)

　　Me: Yes, I think so. I have prepared that.(很高兴的说)

　　VO: (她开始撕蓝条，我很兴奋)Your visa application is approved.

　　Me: Thank you! (拿过材料和蓝条子) Have a nice day!

　　VO: You too!

　　总共从进入大厅到办完出来一共耗时约两个小时多一点。

　　最后，总结几点。

　　一、准备要充分。材料备齐，把可能问的问题和答案准备好，多练习几遍。我这次面谈的所有问题基本上都在我准备之列。

　　二、要自信。这点建立在准备充分的基础上。

　　三、英语要好，尤其是听力和口语。一个被拒的小伙子就是因为听力和口语不好。由于我备充分，所以口语也比较流利。慢点说没关系，但是吐字要楚。
