Postdoctoral Fellow, School of Veterinary Medicine

Laboratory of Dr. Rumela Chakrabarti in the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly motivated and organized Postdoctoral Fellow. The research interest of our laboratory is to understand the function of cell fate regulators in normal development and in breast cancer initiation and progression. Particularly, we are interested in understanding the function of the stem cell niche in normal tissue development as well as in breast cancer development.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, talented, and interested in leading a project aimed at unraveling the complex signaling networks in stem cell niche or microenvironment during normal breast development and in the context of tumorigenesis. This position offers the opportunity to participate in a dynamic research environment and gain exposure to an innovative and collegial research community within the Department of Biomedical Sciences.
