Postdoctoral Research Associate in Sugar Chemical Biology : Oxford, United Kingdom

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Professor Ben Davis on a research project funded by Lab 282 for a period of 12 months. The project involves research at the interface of chemistry and biology that will use methods to label peptides and proteins for exploratory use in imaging and design of a new class of sugar-mimic antibiotics. Duties will include managing own academic research and administrative activities, contributing ideas for new research projects and developing ideas for generating research income and present detailed research proposals to senior researchers.

 

 

You should have a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Biology or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up your appointment.

 

 

The post is available immediately and will be based in the Chemistry Research Laboratory, Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA.
