摘要:

Post Doc in Cell Signaling / Cancer Biology – Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey

An NIH-funded entry level postdoctoral position is immediately available at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Department of Medicine, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

The research focus of the lab is to identify and target stem cell and developmental signaling pathways that drive tumor progression in non-small cell lung cancer. Projects are NIH-funded and require a post-doctoral lead on integration of mouse genetics and tumor biology to challenge and extend our understanding of mechanisms that drive lung tumor development and progression. The post-doctoral period is for a minimum of two years and the candidate will be mentored towards an independent academic career. An ability to work independently as well as in a strong team-science environment is required.

Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant area of molecular and cellular life sciences, be proficient in written and oral English, and have excellent communication skills. Expertise in generating and analyzing genetically modified mouse models of cancer is required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated working experience with a variety of molecular, cellular and biochemical techniques. Applicants will also benefit from knowledge or research experience in the field of lung cancer and stem cell signaling pathways.
